Profile and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university

JOB TITLE: Business Development Director

Role – Main Responsibilities
Responsibility for identifying, developing and closing new business development deals with external partners to maximize and accelerate sales growth.
• Responsible for leading development opportunities from strategy identification through the deal & integration phase.

Regional Sales Director - Biopharmaceuticals
Minimum 10 years' experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical industry. Experience in oncology/hematology highly desirable. Minimum three years sales management experience within those industries; experience in marketing, sales training, market research or sales operations area preferred.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Responsible for developing sales/launch plan for new product in the region.
Detailed launch action plans/timetables to track and manage “launch readiness”.
Identify target hospitals and regional KOLs to best reflect in strategic and effective sales activities for commercialization.
2. Responsible for building-up a lean but sophisticated sales team within the region, including hiring.
3. Responsible for participating in sales force effectiveness planning & implementation in conduction with relevant parties, e.g. Marketing, Sales Planning, Drug Safey/PV, Logistics, etc.
4. Responsible for developing talents within Sales organization by closely working with Sales Trainer, Marketing, Medical Liasons.
5. Responsible for thorough education on the product and its risk management program in a timely manner.
6. Ensure compliance with all Celgene policies and standards and enforce company regulatory guidelines.
7. Identify opportunities in the market place, developing and communicating strategies to Marketing and to Sales Director; manage implementation of all promotional activities to support sales and marketing strategies, in accordance with Celgene’s promotional policies.
8. Responsible for allocating and managing region budget.
9. Develop regional succession plan to ensure that appropriate talent is in place in region to achieve long-term business goals and support the growth of the corporation.
10. Build and sustain relationships with regional Key Opinion Leaders.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
BS, BA is required.
Minimum 10 years industry experience, with at least three years in sales management in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry; cross functional experience in sales operations, sales training, marketing or market research highly desirable.
Demonstrated successful history of field force leadership.
Demonstrated history of effective interpersonal skills, ability to provide performance feedback, strong written and verbal skills, good presentation skills, an effective evaluator of performance, and analytical ability.
