Mike Alfant

Mike Alfant, President & CEO, Fusion Systems Japan

Mr. Alfant co-founded Fusion Systems Co., Ltd. in May 2005. Mr. Alfant has again assembled a combination of deep technical expertise and results-oriented technology experts to earn the trust of some of the world's largest commercial and financial organizations. The company is focused on delivering value to clients throughout Asia through the design and implementation of technology-based business solutions.

He originally founded Fusion in 1992 and was President and CEO of Fusion Systems Japan, a multinational systems integrator that serviced Fortune 1000 corporations throughout Asia, Europe and North America. Mr. Alfant led FSJ to a successful $58M acquisition by IMRglobal (NASDAQ: IMRS) in March 1999.

Mr. Alfant serves as the Vice President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan, on the Board of Directors of On2 Technologies, Inc. (AMEX: ONT). He also maintains a close liaison with the Japan-America Society who periodically entertains trade delegations of U.S. business leaders interested in exploring opportunities in Japan and is a frequent speaker at major Universities in the US, Japan and within Asia.

Prior to Fusion Systems Japan, Mr. Alfant worked in various technology roles at AT&T Bell Labs, Bankers Trust, UBS, Security Pacific, Citibank, EF Hutton, and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Mr. Alfant is a native of Brooklyn, New York and is a graduate of New York City University.

Shiro Fujita

Shiro Fujita, President of The Ingenium Group

Shiro Fujita is an Information Technology expert in distributed object‐oriented technology, mission critical applications development and STP (Straight Through Processing). He brings more than fifteen years of experience in system development utilizing multinational teams for International corporations. Areas of strong expertise include Securities Front‐Office/Back‐Office Systems development and Banking Back‐Office Systems development for major global financial institutions.

Prior to joining Fusion Systems, Mr. Fujita served as an independent consultant and most recently as President of MetaVector Inc. (a Tokyo‐based systems integration company). Mr. Fujita offered expert IT consulting services in business analysis, systems analysis, technical architecture design, project management and management consulting. Mr. Fujita has worked with leading multinational companies in the Insurance, Capital Markets and Banking sectors. He has participated in the implementation of major technology implementations throughout Asia/Pacific.

Prior to MetaVector, Mr. Fujita was a Senior Product Manager for the FOX (Fusion Order/eXecution) Trading System at Fusion Systems Japan in Tokyo. FOX became the most successful Trading System Package in late 1990's and managed 40% of trading volumes in Tokyo Stock Exchange at its peak through a dozen of major security houses. He began his professional career at Yamaichi Information Systems, the technology research arm of Yamaichi Securities, as a Front‐Office Trading Systems Specialist.

Mark H. Saft

Mark H. Saft, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Saft began his career in executive search in 1995. He was a Vice President at one of Japan's largest and longest operating executive search firms prior to co-founding The Ingenium Group, Inc. His network of business professionals is far-reaching and he is widely recognized as being one of the most highly visible search consultants in all of Japan.

Mr. Saft obtained his Masters Degree in Asian Studies from California State University at Long Beach and is also a graduate of Loyola University in New Orleans with a Bachelors Degree in English and Philosophy. Prior to coming to Japan, he served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 1993 as a Captain.

Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, Mr. Saft has lived in Japan since 1993. He is an active member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan and currently serves as the Chairman of the Membership Committee of the Tokyo American Club. He is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and he specializes in Human Resource leadership roles.

Andrew Lawson

Andrew Lawson, Managing Director, Finance Practice

Andrew is the Managing Director of Ingenium's Finance practice and covers searches in Japan and Asia in the areas of Trading, M&A, Structured Finance and Risk. His clients are leading U.S., European and Asian financial institutions including investment banks, securities firms, hedge funds, asset management companies, real estate and private equity firms.

Andrew began his career in executive search in 1994 in Tokyo, and from the start specialized in Investment Banking and Capital Markets recruitment. Andrew then moved to Wellington & Associates Ltd., a market leading boutique search firm, with a strong focus on front office financial professionals across Asia.

Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, he holds a B.Sc. In Industrial Technology from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. He served honorably and was discharged from the United States Marine Corps in 1981.

Kelly Li

Kelly Li, Regional Manager, China

Ms. Li has been in executive search for over ten years, after graduating from Tianjin University of Finance & Economics with a BA in International Trade & English. She started her search career with ChinaCareer, the largest local search firm and then joined Amrop Hever, one of the top ten Global Executive Search Firms, where she specialized in Industrial, Consumer Goods, Life Science and FIN/HR sectors prior to joining The Ingenium Group, Inc. Kelly has executed more than one hundred search assignments in China and throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Yasutsugu Yamanaka

Yasutsugu Yamanaka, Executive Vice President

Mr. Yamanaka has over 35 years experience of President and/or senior management positions at foreign companies in Japan and overseas. Those companies' industries include advertising, food, fashion goods, computers, sporting goods and health care. He graduated from Rikkyo University, obtained an MBA from Thunderbird Graduate School in Arizona, and attended PMD (Program for Management Development) at Harvard Business School.

David Suzuki

David Suzuki, Vice President

A seasoned executive recruiter of 10 years in Tokyo, David Suzuki has joined The Ingenium Group as Vice President of the Technology Practice where his mission is to execute senior level searches for valued clientele in the high-tech and IT industry. In a dual role, he has also been hired to further develop and drive the HR position searches within the Professional Services Practice. Prior to working at Ingenium, David was a Partner at Access Technology, managing the Infrastructure and Technology practice, with a concentration in the networking hardware, security, internet and communications sector. Clients within this industry sector include Fortune 500 market leaders that continue to expand business in Japan, as well as Silicon Valley or venture start-ups interested in Japan market-entry.

David has a BA from McGill University. Being second generation Japanese-Canadian, he is bilingual/bicultural and now makes Tokyo his permanent home with his wife and son.
