Haken Associate Opportunity
Overview
The role of the Associate is to administer, plan, support and execute according to defined objectives and the overall business plan as directed by and in partnership with, the Managing Director.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Support all aspects of the business in the exciting start-up stage
- Contact, screen and meet appropriate candidates to qualify and introduce to positions
- Develop and maintain candidate contacts and associated communications documents
- Organize, manage and maintain master agreements
- Create client/staff contracts, reviewing carefully for accuracy
- Review staff timesheets for accuracy and follow-up to ensure punctual submission
- Identify and negotiate terms with various service vendors, as appropriate
- Set and continually manage expectations with team members and other stakeholders
- Develop and deliver progress reports
- Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the business
Required Knowledge and Skill Qualifications
- 2-3+ years direct / related work experience in a similar capacity
- Fluency in both Japanese and English (reading, writing, oral & aural)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Technically competent with various software: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented environment is essential
- Able to conform to shifting priorities and timelines through analytical problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, other departments & partner companies
- Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new procedures and systems quickly
Preferred Knowledge and Skill Qualifications
- Experience in the recruiting or staffing industry
- Expert abilities with Excel
- Familiarity with Japanese labor laws
- Knowledge of local pension and social insurance issues
- Experience studying/working abroad is highly valued
