Reports to FAE Manager or Global Applications Director.
• Create new design wins and maintain existing design wins through direct customer product promotion and support through the customer design cycle.
• Engage with customers in the development stages to ensure fast and error free design wins.
• Promote suitable hardware and software product combinations to match customer requirements
• Make the company’s products a joy to use through participation in product development project teams.
• Be the technical face of this company at focus and major accounts. Be the technical face of the customer within the company
• Maintain in depth knowledge of this company and competitive technology in areas of product specialism.
• Key contributor to product development to ensure products meet customer requirements, do not replicate previous customer issues and are as simple to deploy as possible.
• Specifies and influences choice of equipment software and tools.
• Expert educator on new products, software, solutions and system architectures. Providing technical training and support to sales channels including giving technical presentations to customers and distributors, answering application questions and providing guidance to customers in order to get parts into production quickly.
• Leads cross functional teams to resolve complex problems. Works closely with Edinburgh to ensure that all issues are resolved successfully.
• Minimises customer support requests through provision of innovative collateral, examples code, FAQs, and technical notes.
• Defines and communicates customer test regime and acceptance criteria. Evaluate customers designs and make recommendations for improvements.
• Recognised as a technical leader across chosen market and product area by technical peers, sales, and customers at engineering director level.
• Defines and executes local collateral requirements including customer code examples, trade articles, speaking at trade shows and system level demonstrations.
• Generate new product ideas and customer system analysis to drive new product directions.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to junior engineers.
